Peter Bennett-Jones

Peter was educated at Winchester and Cambridge University where he
read Law. He was president of the University’s two principal dramatic
societies and toured with Footlights. From 1977 to 1982 Peter worked
extensively in the theatre, producing and managing shows in North
America, the Far East and the UK. From 1982 to 1986 he was
Managing Director of Talkback Productions and a director of theatrical
producers Pola Jones Associates. Peter founded Tiger Television in
1988 and became Group Chairman following the merger with Aspect
Film & Television in 1993.
At TAP, Peter’s extensive production / executive production credits include Mr Bean, Harry Enfield and Chums, The Vicar of Dibley, The Thin Blue Line, Bean – The Ultimate Disaster Movie, Blackadder Back and Forth, Gimme Gimme Gimme and the Olivier Award-winning West End musical Our House.
Following the success of the feature film Bean – The Ultimate Disaster Movie, in 1999 Peter formed TA Pictures, whose first film, Kevin & Perry Go Large, starring Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke, was a huge hit, as was the company’s second feature, Billy Elliot.
Peter is also Chairman of talent agencies, PBJ Management (clients include: Rowan Atkinson, Harry Enfield, Eddie Izzard, Lenny Henry, Barry Humphries, Armando Iannucci, The League Of Gentlemen, Howard Goodall, Chris Morris, Reeves and Mortimer, Sean Hughes, Bill Bailey, Dom Joly and Dylan Moran) and KBJ Management (clients include: Kirsty Young, Dermot Murnaghan, Kirsty Wark, Mark Durden Smith, Gaby Roslin and Claudia Winkelman). Peter is Chair of Trustees at Comic Relief and is a Board Member of theatreshare plc and the Oxford Playhouse.
