In 1984 Mike Smallwood joined Lowe Howard–Spink, rising to
become European Media Director from 1991 – 1996. From 1996 –
1998 Mike devised and implemented the creation of WIM, Europe in
all major markets. In 1998 he joined Flextech Television, initially as
SVP Marketing. Within a year Mike was promoted to Managing
Director, Business & Strategy. In 2002 Mike left to launch an
independent strategy consultancy, and has since undertaken projects
for clients including ITV, BSkyB and Channel 4. Mike is married with
two children and is a fanatical follower of Newcastle United.
